MTO Module Brings User Entered Configurations to Magento.

Manufacturers wishing to sell direct to customers with Magento now have the ability to allow customers to order products of any size without having to enter in millions of SKU combinations into the system first. The Made-to-Order (MTO) module for Magento let's manufacturers specify available ranges of dimensions as well as price break-points for square-footage and depth of the product.

"This module effectively lets a store owner create millions of products dynamically without having to hand-enter each one.", says Mark Kimsal, the creator of this Magento module.

By allowing customers to select the exact dimensions of products manufacturers gain the ability to sell a wider array of products on their Magento store. Some of these products might have traditionally been sold only through fax or phone orders. The XML based pricing system also gives the manufacturer unlimited formulas for pricing their products, formulas that closely follow their manufacturing process.
